Heat Strengthened Glass
eat strenghtened glass is mainly used for curtain walls and exterior windows. Due to its slight image distortion, heat strengthened glass is often made into tempered coated glass for curtain walls and exterior windows.
Heat strengthened glass has a low risk of self explosion and good flatness, it has high strength and will not break to sharp fragments when breaking.
HS glass is different from tempered glass, heat strengthened glass cooling process is much slower . It has below Features:
Two times strength high than float glass, around half of tempered glass.
Radial shards after breaking,but can keep glass integrity.
No spontaneous breakage.
The flatness is better than tempered glass, better for the curtain wall or building facade to avoid the image deformation.
